Eric Loyd Robinson (yes, ONE L in Loyd !), entered this world at the Wayne County Hospital in Goldboro, NC at 7:27 pm on Saturday the 7th of March. The world has never been the same ! Eric never forgot the roar of B-52s flying overhead during his infancy just outside of Seymour – Johnson Air Force Base. Those early experiences provided the foundation of his love for aviation.

Eric grew up in Nashville, TN, attending Antioch High School. In 1978, at the conclusion of his Freshman year at the University of Tennessee (Go vols !!!), Eric continued his love of aviation by accepting a Cooperative Education position with Lockheed in Marietta, Georgia. Receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1982 (3rd in his class of Aerospace Engineers) Eric continued both his employment with Lockheed and his education at Tennessee. He also met the woman who would become Mrs. Robinson in 1982 and they were married in 1983. As a graduate student pursuing his Masters of Business Administration, Eric was voted the President of the Graduate Student body, serving in that capacity during his last year of graduate school. He received his MBA with a concentration in Management, as well as the Chancellor’s Award for Extraordinary Leadership in 1984.

Eric continued his professional career at Lockheed and then GEC Marconi, both defense aerospace firms. In 1998, he changed directions by accepting the Director of Marketing for Eason Earl and Associates, an Architectural firm with offices in Atlanta and Greenville SC. From there he moved on to Thompson Company and then Wakefield Beasley and Associates before starting his own consulting firm in 2007; working with A-E firms interested in pursuit of work with the Army Corp of Engineers and the Naval Facilities Command, NASA and other Federal agencies.

In 2014, Eric became the President of Rosser International and in 2017 joined Accura Engineering as its Executive Vice President. During his tenure at Accura the firm has grown from approximately $6 Million in annual receipts to $12 million in 2018.

Eric has two children, Ryan (Atlanta) and Rachel (Tuscaloosa, AL), and a daughter-in-law, Katie. His outside interests include various outdoor activities. He has a passion for Collegiate sports and the South Eastern Conference, as well as Atlanta United Soccer for which he is a “Founding Member” of the team.
